The Princess & Me Trunk Show

This April we have the Princess & Me Needlepoint Trunk Show at the Stitchery of St. Simons! The Princess & Me is a small design firm based in Wisconsin that is most well-known for their Christmas ornaments.

You can peruse the Princess & Me website to see a greater sampling of their needlepoint designs.

If you're looking for something in particular or see something you like on the website, give the shop a call or send us an email. If we don't have it on hand for the trunk show, we can order any canvas for you.

Each design comes with instructions, a photo, and a stitch and fiber guide.

Cat Bordhi How-To Videos

While I was searching for videos of the Berlin Zoo's new baby panda on youtube.com, I made a pleasant knitting discovery. Cat Bordhi (of sock designing and moebius knitting fame) has her own channel on youtube. Here you'll find companion videos for many of the patterns featured in her newest sock book, New Pathways for Sock Knitters.

For those not familiar with knitting socks on two circular needles, Cat demonstrates her "signature move" in a two part video.

Cat also demonstrates....

-Judy Becker's Magic Cast on

-
Wrapping and Turning (and concealing your wraps!)

-
Tightening your purl stitches

Youtube is really a great resource for knitters. There are thousands of other knitting demos that kind and knowledgeable individuals have posted for your enjoyment.
